When Nezza moved from Sydney to Phoenix in February 2015, she didn’t know anyone in her new city. She decided to volunteer for an animal rescue shelter as a way to meet other animal lovers. Instead of making friends, she fell in love with a fluffy furball named Boomerang. Nezza brought her new foster baby home and he was just what she needed.
He was her hiking buddy, wingman, sidekick, and therapist. He calmed her through months of stress and tears as she was working on the beginning stages of My Little Posy. He slept on her lap through team meetings and conference calls. He was there though every painstaking decision and looked at her with his gorgeous eyes as if to say, “Go Mommy!”
The My Little Posy team would like to pay tribute to Boomerang by helping his friends. We foster dogs from different rescue groups in the Phoenix valley. For every successful adoption of My Little Posy’s foster dogs we will donate $30 to the rescue group and the new parent will receive a My Little Posy bouquet.
Because posies don’t just come with leaves and a stem. Sometimes the best posies have paws and a tail.

His story: Leo was found at the Tempe Center for the Arts by Tempe police and a good samaritan who turned him into MCCAC East in Mesa but no one claimed him. MLP stepped in to save this sweetie. He’s very mellow, friendly with people and other dogs, has the sweetest disposition, calm, housebroken and excellent on a leash.

Her story: Rosie was found as a stray and is terrified of everyone. His story: Boomerang was found as a stray by a hair salon who kept food out for him and he kept returning (hence the name Boomerang.
